1. Enter the cuts and fabrics

Add each required rectangle, assign its fabric, and identify finished or cut dimensions. Piece-level direction and WOF restrictions stay explicit.

2. Describe fabric you already own

Enter each remnant, fat quarter, or partial yard as a physical width-by-length rectangle. Edited dimensions, not preset names, control placement.

3. Compare and reconcile

The planner compares any pattern-stated amount with an independent fresh-fabric plan, then jointly evaluates stock and the raw additional bolt length. Safety and shop rounding apply only to new fabric.

4. Execute the selected plan

The shopping list, stock allocations, purchased layout, instructions, SVG diagrams, and leftover regions all come from the same selected placements. The bounded practical heuristic is deterministic but is not claimed to prove a global minimum.
